Worship

We are a modern Anglican parish and at the heart of our church life is the worship of God.

We are currently in the process of reviewing our worship as we look to the future and become a church for a new world.

Children and Worship

We love having children with us at St John’s and we make an effort to enable them to worship God in ways that are suitable for them. At the morning service our infants and children go to the their special groups during the second hymn. These activities last for around 20-30 minutes and then they re-join the service later on so that they can either receive Communion or a blessing as appropriate. We encourage our children and young people to participate in worship, including reading, leading prayers, singing in the choir and/or serving as an acolyte. If you would like to get involved please speak to our vicar!
