I'm Richard (he/him) and I've been vicar of St John's since September 2017.
In January 2022 I was also appointed Mission Community Leader for Mission Community 5 in the Manchester South and Stretford Deanery.
I'm commited to building inclusive learning environments where spirituality can be explored and where contemporary issues can be reflected upon theologically. I love radical theology and enjoy thinking about art, philosophy, religion, science, spirituality, and theology in the context of our evolving spiritual landscape. Reflecting my background in librarianship I am passionate about connecting people with ideas they will love so if you would like to talk through what interests you please get in touch to arrange a conversation.
I am married to Suzanne and we have two children. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing chess, watching rugby, listening to the operas of Wagner, and working out.
